The factory J-Series dipstick cap is plastic, can't handle sustained high-RPM pressure, and there's nothing to stop it from backing out on a hot engine. MDP's locking billet dipstick threads down securely and stays locked until you deliberately release it — CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum to look as good as it functions.
