The 2006–2007 Mazdaspeed 6 has a known weakness: the stamped steel clutch pedal bracket cracks at the firewall mounting point from repeated engagement, especially after an aftermarket clutch install. When it goes, the pushrod stops traveling straight — causing symptoms that feel exactly like hydraulic failure, even when the master and slave cylinders are fine.
